Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 Pro

Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 Pro are one of audiophilers favorite IEM.

Ultimate Ears Super.FI 5 Pro — Big Picture

The build quality of Ultimate Ears Super.FI 5 Pro is excellent. Medium gauge wiring is used throughout the 4 feet length with reinforced sleeves next to the earpieces. An "universal fit kit" is included with every set to ensure that each user will be able to find the match flange for their optimal comfort. Each kit includes: 6 single flange silicone (2 small, 2 medium, 2 large), 2 standard and 2 dual flange silicone. Each of them very fitting to the earpiece and can easily be removed without fear of damaging the sensitive internal components. UE Super.FI 5 Pro come with a leather carrying and metal case. Meanwhile the metal case is very tech with stealthy cutaways underneath to hold a connection adapter plus attenuator, many of our testers choose the leather case when travelling, feels the metal case was just too uncomfy to kept in your pocket.

UE Super.Fi 5 Pro's dual drivers erupted with a creamy full sound that immediately put a smile on your face. The noise-isolating design from the silicone earpieces, coupled with the individual high-frequency and low-frequency drivers, delivers glamour experience of listening.

The SF5 Pro, which incorporates two drivers (one handles low frequencies, the other middle and high frequencies) into each earpiece, delivers first-class performance. UE super.fi 5 Pro's sound has a distinctive color. It tends to soften the overall spectrum, while still leaving enough detail for clarity and definition. It works great on groove-oriented music, such as dance and hip-hop and its passive crossover was able to accurately divide the orchestra when a John Williams soundtrack tested.

But if artificially big bass is your thing, the SF5 Pro can do that too. In EQ's bass, 'phones surprisingly could dish out formidable low end without distorting or getting sloppy. The high-sensitivity (119 dB) 'phones could play extremely loud even when paired with portable audio players. The Super.fi 5 Pro's sonic character can be summed up as balanced or perhaps slightly skewed toward bright, in that sense, the Super.fi 5 Pro is such as studio monitor headphones.

Marry this IEM to get the excellent physical build quality and a good retail price, and you have one of the best values in the earphones market.
